Eligibility:
This program is for international students who meet the following requirements:
- Undergraduate student: Must be in the third or last year of study.
- Graduate student: Must be a registered master’s student.
- Courses: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science or Medical Sciences.

Internship Period

This is the summer internship where you could join KAIST and make an impact at the same time establish professional relations with researchers and students from all around the globe.
How to Apply
The below is the process in a chronologically order:
1. Prepare Your Documents:
- Application form
- Statement of Purpose regarding your activities
- Enrollment certificate
- Transcript of grades
- One recommendation letter
2. Send Your Application:
Conduct the job by sending the aforementioned documents via email to kai-x_internship@kaist.ac.kr latest by 5th February 2025 at 24:00.
3. Wait for Results:
March 31, 2025, will be the date by which the selected aspirants will be informed individually. There will even be an option to mention which three labs you would want to work with, so you are bound to something that pleases you the most!
What’s in It for You?
For the KAI-X summer internship, it doesn’t mean that it is only about getting research exposure; it’s rather about getting assistance further to improve accessibility for instance, this case:
💸 Financial Support:
- Airfare: A maximum of 1,000,000,000 KRW is given for airfare only for this travel.
- Housing: Dormitory costs will also be met to a maximum of 500,000 KRW.
- Living expenses: An allowance to the tune of 500,000 KRW will also be provided.
Such a deduction from your stipend will allow you to concentrate on the tasks at hand as you will not have to worry excessively about your travel arrangements and accommodation among other logistical issues.
